COVID was hard on all of us and on Christ Church. For a long time we couldn't even gather to worship, but now Christ Church is open. Now we need to rebuild our church, i.e. our church family. How shall we gather our whole church family again and welcome all members of Lockport and the surrounding community?
Stewardship is about thankful giving - the weekly inserts will focus on the blessings we receive from God. Again this year Christ Church needs your pledges, but this year we also need your thoughts and your prayers and your energy. This year we need to decide what our part of the world needs and how we provide it for our church family and our neighbors. Please participate and share your ideas.
Fr. Thomas Mitchell wrote a wonderful Stewardship letter that was mailed to everyone. If for some reason you didn't see it, it is available below. There is also a pledge card below. Please return pledges by October 24th so we can prepare the 2022 budget. Thank you.
Each week we will have an insert in the bulletins and also available below. We are starting with one written by our own Rev. Canon Cathy Dempsey-Sims on September 12th - The Gift of Worship.
Each week there are questions for reflection, and sometimes for discussion with friends at coffee hour. There will be paper on the parish hall windows to record and share your ideas. We all need to participate to help rebuild Christ Church - this can't be left to just the Vestry since it is much more than a few can do.
